FESTIVALS
The main Annual festivals, the Trust celebrates here is the Ashwin month and start from Chitra nakshatra. It is a10 days grand festiwal which is called "Navratri Festival". Its Startswith hosting flags and erecting Garuda Pillar which is made of silver. During the period daily the Trust call one by one popular and reputed Kirtankar, Singers. Orators and Mythologist story tellers. On 8th day Sri Balaji Ustav murti is taken to Goddess Chamumdi and the Trust offer pujas and silk saree to Goddes. On the 10 th day (Vijaya Dashmi Day) which is last day, the Wooden Chariot is taken out with ustav murti and its Padukas upto the end of Municipality limits of the town to carry out Simolanghan Ritual.
On full Moon Day ---Kojagiri Poornima, Lord Krishna's festival is performed by Gopal-Kala-Dahihandi after kirtankar presents the musical story of lord Krishna. After this upto Deepawali , 15 days "Yatra" is held and devotee from distant places comes to get blessings of Sri Balaji and purchase various fancy itams in this market.
Aftet 4th day of Deepawali, the Trust since 2006 invites important people to give Discourses/ speeches on various social topics. This is done in memory of late Adocate Shri Narayan rao Yparanya Bhausaheb, Keshrao Kalu who died in 2006. He was the father ofpresent incharge of the mandir- Shri Diliprao Kalu.
The other important festivals which are celebrated here are Ramnavami, Foundation day in Shravana Shuddha Trayodashi and Ugadhi.
There was a practice before 400 years that he Palanquin with Sri Baji Utsavmurthi was going from here on Sharvana Vadya Ashatami day to Tirupati and was returning on 10th day of Navaratri day ( Vijaya Dashmi Day) at the border of Washim Municipality. Then it was bring brought in procession to the mandir with the large crowd. It was a planned of 'so journey' that of which the programme was fixed about where to stay, who will accompany tetc. However this practice is discontinued in view of various reason.
